Who am I
I’m Dr. Angelica Janeth Cortez Soto, a Mexican researcher and educator with a Ph.D. in Educational Innovation from Tecnológico de Monterrey. My work bridges educational research, emotional well-being, inclusive pedagogy, and open education, always with a focus on real-world impact and equity.
With over a decade of teaching experience across educational levels, I’ve collaborated with institutions such as the Mexican Ministry of Education (SEP), UNAM, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Wumbox, the Inter-American Development Bank, the University of Birmingham, and UNESCO.
As a GO-GN fellow, I’m currently developing a bilingual Open Educational Resource to support university students with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). This project integrates trauma-informed strategies and emotional regulation tools, presented in an accessible and practical way, to strengthen academic resilience and inclusion across contexts.
